Have more Contract Status such as Hold, Contract Issued, Contract sent to Vendor, Contract Date, Cooling off Expiry date, Unconditional
It would be good if we could have more contract status rather than accepted, unconditional and settled. It helps in reporting when using the Projects App when dealing with multiple contracts in the one project.

Totally Agree with the above the Key Dates should reflect Key Dates - All of the below are common for sale contracts in Australia.
We would like to see
Key DatesSelling Agent - stay - applicable
Sale Price - Stay - applicable
Add a date field - Cooling off Expires - applicable all states. This would also show you when the buyer was provided with a copy as cooling off would end 5 business days after
Initial Deposit - Stay but add the due date
Deposit Amount - change to balance of deposit and add due date
Finance amount / typically completed sufficient to complete as buyer do not want you to know -Change this to Finance due date
Lender - rarely known - Change to B&P Date
Add - Special condition - due date -

Hi Alex,
Contract Issued is when the contract is sent to the buyers -> We don't track this. Even if we did, when would this status expire if the buyers did not go ahead with it... i.e. where would this be recorded? = This would expire either when the contract was marked as sent to vendor or when the contract was marked as Fallen. This could be put in as one of the Key Dates in the Contract section and then shown in the contract reports section.
Contract sent to vendor -> As above = = This would expire either when the contract was marked as accepted or when the contract was marked as Fallen. This could be put in as one of the Key Dates in the Contract section and then shown in the contract reports section.
Cooling off Expiry -> This is probably common enough that we could potentially track this as its own field. = Yes as this is applicable to everyone in QLD.
What do we do for agencies that do not use these statuses or have slightly different statuses that they want to track - how do we avoid clutter for them and for you if someone else requests other items to be stored? = Maybe give the option for additional key dates and then have check boxes for the ones we want showed, that way each user can pick what they want viewed and if it is relevant for them. In the reporting section it shouldn't matter how many reports are to choose from in there.

It can get a little more complicated...

Happy to have further thoughts on this to keep the discussion going.

Hi Alex, With regards to the other status what would trigger the specific status is when we would update them. The relevance of these is so we can report back to a developer where a contract is at. Contract Issued is when the contract is sent to the buyers, Contract sent to vendor is pretty much self explanatory - this is needed so we can find out if the hold up in executing the contract is with the vendor/solicitor, Cooling Off Expiry is a key date in any QLD contract as it forms part of the contract terms. The statuses only expire when the next one in line is marked with a date. This information is useful for us to track contracts and to make sure the agents & developers know where they are at all times and if there is a hold up we know at what end it is caused by

Hi Kathy, we do track the hold status which does display on the listing list views and record views though admittedly it doesn't show on reports.
The rest of the item's you've mentioned - you'll need to go into significantly more detail on each one separately in terms of what you would expect to trigger that status, what the priority of statuses is, how the statuses expire, what insight the status gives you, who it's useful for etc.
