pocket kiosk
Hi there,
Love where pocket Kiosk is heading... and would love to use it to replace Homepass. However there are two things that would be crucial for us to actually start using it.
1. Make it work in landscape mode. It's way easier to use an iPad/Tablet with keyboard attached, and most attach along long edge. If just using screen keypad it's much easier to use in landscape. And also if holding in your hands you always hold it in landscape.
2. You HAVE to make it so people already in the database start coming up when typing. There are lots of instances in the main Rex database where you start typing a user name it either finds the contact or provides a link to add a new contact. Should be the same functionality when checking in through the Kiosk.
Looking forward to those issues (hopefully) being resolved!

Hi Alex,
Only just noticed you had replied! Does it work it landscape mode yet?
Definitely not ideal for buyers to see other contacts information. I can see why it works like that now. But it's a shame that it's made to work with buyers entering the information only.
I know that we like to take buyers names and enter it ourselves as it helps us remember their names and connect with them. It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to add a feature where you could switch between the current kiosk mode and perhaps an agent mode where agents can manually enter buyers (with the auto complete feature)?

Hi mark,
With respect to 1 - i believe we are working on this.
With respect to 2 - kiosk automatically deduplicates based on a setting that you can select in the app. Given that this application is designed to be handed to clients of yours that attend your open home, them seeing contacts that exist in your database is not ideal.
