Attachments on email merges to appear at top of email
At the moment, attachments on email merges appear at the very bottom of the email and are not easy to see (we've had numerous clients respond asking where the attachment is). This needs to be made more obvious or should appear under the subject line as per regular emails.
Thanks for voting everyone. We're pleased to announce that there is now a setting that lets you choose to send all email attachments as real files, rather than email links.
You can learn more about this new setting - as well as the pros and cons of real attachments vs link attachments - in our announcement post.

We are also having difficulty in fulfilling contracts because clients are not seeing attachments to their contract documentation emails. If they are attached at the top, like every other attachment is, then they will be alerted to them rather than clicking on the links.

We have had numerous complaints about clients not able to see the attachments at the bottom of the email. It would be great if the attachments could be at the top of the email, where it is more noticeable.

I definitely agree, we have had numerous complaints even though we have it in the text of our emails that the attachment is at the bottom. Unfortunately people don't read the letters properly and in any other email you receive the attachment is always at the top.
