Automatically update existing Buyer Match Profiles with every new enquiry
Currently, REX automatically creates a Buyer Match Profile when a contact makes an enquiry, but only if they don't already have an existing profile.
We'd love to see this expanded so that every new property enquiry automatically updates the buyer's existing Match Profile.
For example, if a buyer initially enquires about a property in Merewether and later enquires about properties in New Lambton and Warners Bay, REX should automatically add those suburbs and their corresponding postcodes to their existing Match Profile.
Ideally, this feature would:
- Automatically capture the suburb and postcode from every property enquiry.
- Add new locations to the buyer's existing Match Profile.
- Retain all previously saved suburbs and postcodes.
- Prevent duplicate locations.
- Preserve existing price ranges, bedroom preferences and active Match Campaigns.
- Work across enquiries received from REA, Domain and agency websites.
Why this matters
Buyer preferences naturally change as they explore different properties and locations. However, their Match Profiles often remain based on their first enquiry unless an agent manually updates them.
For agencies managing large buyer databases, automatically updating these preferences would improve data accuracy, strengthen reverse buyer matching and help ensure buyers receive relevant property alerts.
This would be a valuable improvement to REX's existing automated matching functionality.
