Ability to specify a record owner when adding a property/contact/company
It would be great to be able to choose the record owner that a record is assigned to when it's being added to the system, instead of it automatically being owned by the logged in user. eg. just after you've clicked on the '+' button and you're entering the contact name, phone number and email address. In our office a lot of our records are added in by our admin staff and they're having to either reassign them manually as they go - or wait until the end of the day and do it as a mass action. This would really help our productivity!

I enter all of the contracts, form 6, listings etc for our entire office. If I add in a contact off the listing record etc and the contact isn't already in the system it obviously gives me the option to add this contact in then and there which is great. However, it automatically assigns that contact to me. There should be a drop down box when adding a contact so that you can just select who the owning agent is. This would make my life.... and other offices where an admin person is entering all this information SO MUCH EASIER, than having to manually go into each contact and change the owning user.

I agree this is needed, especially with leads. Our receptionist adds enquiries via the leads section and assigns the lead to the agent, yet the contact that gets created is owned by her, and we must manually change it.
Surely it is assumed that the person adding the phone leads in to the leads section and assigning them to someone probably isn't going to be the agent themselves...

I see this is a pretty old suggestion, it's a shame it hasn't been taken up.
We've just stared using rex and in less than 24 hours, have come up against this annoyance. Our admin person is assigning leads to agents, and adding a new contact in order if they don't already exist. The lead is being assigned to the agent, but the contact is being created to be owned by the admin person... unless i'm missing something?

Request Rex allows staff to assign property or contacts to another user.
So a PA can enter property and contact information against the relevant rep, rathat than under their own name, and rex shows who entered the data (eg pa), and who owns it (eg. sales rep).
If security is an issue, only allow permissions for the PA to assisgn to their employer/sales representative.
Painful work around for our office is to provide a list of changes and our GM actions these manually, or for the PA's to login as the rep.
When multiple pa's working for a single rep, it's painful. Very suprised this is not already available - unless it is & we don't know about it?..

Was just about to log this one myself as we are new users to REX and it's a lot of extra clicks for an admin person to enter a Contact on behalf of everyone - this would save all admin people entering contacts so much time so has my vote!
