Feature Requests
Welcome Rex Users!
Let us know what you really want out of the system you use in your businesses every day!
Please include as much detail as possible about what the feature is and how the feature would make your life easier – this will encourage other rex users to vote for your request rather than creating a duplicate idea. The more votes you get the quicker your idea will come to our attention :)
How it works:
- You can add as many new ideas here as you like but each new idea that you add will cost you one of your votes.
- You have ten votes to use. You can distribute these however you like with a maximum of 3 on any single item. You can remove a vote if you change your mind and put it elsewhere.
- If you have voted on an item that is then implemented, you will get those votes back to use again.
Remember – no request is too small :)
Happy voting!

Financial Reports
We need the ability to have a sales report that shows within a specified date range
- All new deals (contracts)
- Deposits taken
- Exchanged (unconditional) properties
- Settled (released) properties
The report needs to show totals of sale prices and commission as well as the listing and selling agent initials.
The report should also move the property to its applicable area so it only appears once in the stage it is in (whatever its latest status is within the date range)
There also needs to be on the pending settlement report an area that shows the amount of…45 votesAs mentioned below, these are available as separate reports.
Please contact our support team if you require help with finding the appropriate reports.
if you have any additional suggestions, please don’t hesitate to send them through.

We need the ability in the word processing area to know if the a letter/document is running over onto a second page - basically like in word
There is no way when you create a letter/document to know when the text goes onto a second page etc....you cannot see this until you download the document. At this point if it has gone over and you need to amend you have to create the document and start again and this process goes on and on until you get the formatting correct.
It would be a lot easier to view the document like you can in Microsoft word so you can see when the text moves to the next page etc.44 votesHi Guys,
We barely ever say entirely no to features, but this one is technically impossible for us to implement.
A very large number of factors go in to determining whether a letter will go over on to multiple pages (going from simplest to most complicated):
- Page Margins.
- Line Height.
- Font Height / height of individual characters which varies from font to font.
- Manual Page Breaks injected by you.
- The way that a font is rendered on your operating system.
The way that microsoft word – a tool with millions of lines of code (built exclusively for word processing) is written – is very different to the way that our web based editor is written and its capabilities are very different to the ones that we have access to.
Unfortunately without actually rendering the letter we don’t have any idea how many pages long it will be.
If this is…

Feedback
When doing feedback from OFI's, in the General Feedback Section it possible to add a Positive and Negative Heading?
This is important as our agents give specific Positive and Negative feedback about the home for each buyer - rather than just saying if a buyer is hot or cold. Please have a look at his simple change for us.
Thanks :)
30 votesWhile we can appreciate the merits of the suggestion, this may enforce certain restrictions in terms of the way that feedback can be written.
To deal with your use case, we suggest prefixing your comments with positive and negative in the feedback text as a policy… e.g.
Positive: Jan thought price was reasonable.
Negative: Jan thought price was the only thing that was reasonable. -
Add in Dormant Status to Hot Warm Cold ranking
We need a new "dormant" status which reflects contacts that are in the database and should receive passive marketing information but should not be actively marketed to / contacted by sales people.
This will help by discerning between unresponsive leads and long term cold leads which must be followed up.
This status reflects a comfortable middle ground between a "DNC" status and a "Cold" contact.
29 votesThank you for the suggestion. We already have the functionality to assess how dormant interest is on a contact. In addition to the normal interest level, we have a “last contact date” field which can be used to infer how engaged a contact is. We believe it is counter-intuitive to add another interest level which would introduce more manual data entry and data management for our clients.

MORE THAN ONE ACCEPTED CONTRACT
In a lot of instances you will have more than one party with an accepted offer on a property and they will enter a contract race.
We need the ability in the system to have more than one offer in acceptance and also to have a live commission sheet for each.
We only mark the offer as fallen once the winner goes unconditional.27 votesHi there,
This isn’t something we’re likely to support in the near future.
You could theoretically achieve this currently by performing the following steps:
1. Mark the currently active contract as fallen.
2. Mark the backup contract as accepted (not backup).
3. Create a commission worksheet for the backup contract.
4. Do the reverse of steps 1 and 2 (reactive the orignial contract). The steps above allow you to create a commission worksheet for your backup contract which can then be accessed and modified using the “View Past Worksheets” button on the commission screen.

Task Reminders
When we go into our reminders that are due it would be much better if they displayed everything that is overdue no matter what date it was due that way we are not loosing track of what tasks have not been completed and dont have to change the way the tasks are displayed everytime we view them
26 votesHi Beth,
Thanks for the feedback! Whilst we appreciate your suggestion we will not be implementing the ability to automatically view all overdue reminders.
By default, the reminders show one week in the future and two weeks past. You can change the filter but at this stage we are not going to let you change the default.
We have the default set this way so that your reminders stay clutter fre, this way you can stay up to date with your upcoming tasks rather than drowning in in overdue tasks. -
Different tabs in properties for sale
Could we please have new tabs or drop down options that will show the following in separate sections under properties for sale.
- Available listings
- Under contract listings
- Unconditional/Sold listingsI know you can already 'filter' under contract but that just brings up under contract listings. It's an absolute nightmare to print out a current stocklist... You have to manually go through and try and remember what is under contract and what isn't

Adding multiple listings to feedback!
An option to add more than one property to the feedback, due to having similar properties, these buyers are enquiring on more than one lisitng at one time, meaning more work needs to be done than necessary with each individual enquiry. If we could get the one feedback to include multiple properties, that would halve the work load.

Off Market Listing feature
Isn't it annoying when you cant display all of your current listings as a spreadsheet or on the OFI list generated via REX because the listing is incomplete or cant be put as a listing because its going to be an off market transaction?
Definitely be worth having the ability to categorise between, Listings, Off market & appraisals.
No doubt this feature would help a lot of buyers advocates and people who deal mainly with off market transactions and will be able to finally generate reports with absolutely every property sold through your business.
16 votesHi Joshua,
This is technically available / achievable within rex as it currently stands:
1. If you want csv’s of your data, you can choose to export your listings at any time regardless of publication status if you have rights to do so.
2. Listings have to be published not necessarily as a signal to market them on external sites, but more so:
a. To ensure that you actually have confirmed authority to sell them.
b. To ensure that enough fields have been populated so that purchasers / renters have enough information to make an educated decision on whether the property is suitable for them and also to ensure that a certain level of basic information exists for things like feedback approval, enquiry routing etc. This is different on a per property category basis. The requirement for information to publish a listing is quite low.
c. To ensure that when… -
More Comprehensive Feedback
It would be really useful if we had the option to use custom fields when importing feedback into REX.
Currently, we are limited to four options when adding feedback (offer, private inspection, follow-up and enquiry) it would be beneficial if we could type in our own feedback type as to not limit ourselves to these four feedback types.
Following on from this the 'general feedback' field could be improved by added in custom sub headings (eg. positive, negative and agent feedback) so that feedback can be easy separated and distinguished. Another option would be to add in a simple toolbar…
15 votesGuys – thanks for the suggestion.
Rex has a hot warm and cold ranking on feedback as proxies for positive and negative.
We also have an agent-vendor conversation feedback type to deal with agent-specific inputs.
Whilst this is a slightly different approach, you will achieve the same end result.

Thanks for the suggestion; it’s a great idea but unfortunately we’ll have to close this one as we don’t believe it’s technically possible. Characters are of varying widths, so two different blocks of text take up a differing amount of space – even if they’re both the same letter count. Letting you select a maximum letter count is possible, but you could still get text “overflowing” the allocated space, so it wouldn’t really solve the issue.

Combine sales advice & commission worksheet
It would be excellent if we had the option to print the sales advice and commission worksheet together on 1 page, at the moment we have to sort of tear off the commission worksheet and staple it to the bottom of sales advice for all the information to be neatly on the front of our contract folders.
12 votesThanks for the suggestion. The effort required to synchronise these flows together is too large to consider at the current point in time. There is however a release coming soon which will heavily optimise the process of sending sales advices/memos.

Amend trust transactions (rather than having to void & redo them)
We should be able to edit trust transactions up until the time they are reconciled in Rex.
Due to the different bank clearing timeframes, sometimes dates money was paid or received will change on the bank statement. Rather than having to reverse and then re-enter this it would be great if we could edit the date instead so that our bank transactions and Rex transactions are mirrored.12 votesAfter checking with a number of auditors on this matter and referring to various legislation we’ve confirmed that this wouldn’t be particularly legal. You may instead want to vote for the “hide reversed transaction” feature (suggested here https://rexsoftware.uservoice.com/forums/170987-feature-requests/suggestions/10200978-hide-feature-for-reversed-trust-transactions) and / or suggest another feature that might make the “correction” process a simpler workflow.

Thank you for the suggestion. While we understand how much easier this would make the process for you and any attendees, it is technically impossible. The QLD government does not allow for third-party integrations (like us) with its check-in app.

Log Call note or feedback from "Incoming" call on mobile device i.e. if a recognised rex call comes in (not through app)
Have the ability to log a call with note or feedback from "Incoming" call on mobile device if that number is recognised by Rex database (the same way as if you were doing outbound calls from Pocket)
OR if it automatically pushed you to Pocket after the call to log the detail.11 votesThanks for the great suggestion – we definitely agree that a feature like this would be fantastic. Unfortunately however this is not technically possible, due to iOS & Android restrictions.

Registering Calls through POCKET
Would be ideal that when a call comes in Pocket already recognises this. and the call itself was noted in the clients stream in REX. Incoming call received or outgoing call. At the end of the call also would be ideal if you could enter a note on what the call was about then just press save and it will attach tonthat client.
moving on from this would to recognise communication / emails sent to this client through gmail or outlook also and automatically add to the clients stream.
10 votesWe’d love to be able to implement this but unfortunately iOS puts a restriction on us being able to do anything beyond identify the call – our app doesn’t even get notified a call is happening for security and privacy reasons – behind the scenes we populate an iOS database and it uses that to identify the incoming call without ever notifying our app a call happened.
Regarding your suggestion on emails, setup autoforwarding of emails to your personal email Dropbox address.
If anything changes on this front, we will definitely revisit but at this stage there’s nothing we can do.

Stretch photos
When loading a new listing - There should be an option for photos to be stretched to fit the box rather than cropped or put on canvas. This means that a area within the photo looks bigger unlike cropping which can make rooms or other areas of a property look smaller.
10 votesHi there,
Thanks for the feedback.
We will not be proceeding with this suggestion as we believe stretching images do not look good in your marketing.
We have released options to customise how your images are processed when uploaded so check out this article – http://support.rexsoftware.com/hc/en-us/articles/203335090-Advanced-image-settings

Sort contacts by Address
Some people find it easier to remember addresses better than a contact's name. It would be good to have the option to view the address where the contacts live (plus sorting)
8 votesUnfortunately the address listed against the contacts is a freeform text field. If this was to be sorted it would be sorted by the first characters in the field – most likely the street number (and or anything appearing before the address) which wouldn’t lead to the results you would expect.

The ability to send documents from the Kiosk app (similar to Homepass) rather than having to go back into Pocket to do this.
The ability to send documents from the Kiosk app (similar to Homepass) rather than having to go back into Pocket to do this. Trying to eliminate the need for 2 apps to be used during busy weekend open homes. Thanks guys :)
8 votesWe have rebuilt the Pocket Open Homes check in experience so it is now streamlined and includes features like one-touch send of listing documents!
If you are an agent checking in attendees at an open home your best bet is to use Open Homes in Pocket to check in attendees rather than using Kiosk yourself.

Record Permalink - Difficult to select
Currently when you click permalink it is difficult to select the "record permalink" and copy.
When you click in to the box there is no cursor.
If you click and hold down to select by the time you get to the end of the link it is no longer selected. You then need to click and select again backwards.
The only workaround is to click (no visual representation it worked) then click ctrl-A. Its not intuitive.
There should be another method to copy the contents of this box.
7 votesHi all, your best bet on this one is to double click the link which will select the contents of the entire field. Due to browser security restrictions around placing things on your clipboard and the fairly basic work around mentioned here, this isn’t likely to be something we’ll support.
