Welcome Rex Users!

Let us know what you really want out of the system you use in your businesses every day!

Please include as much detail as possible about what the feature is and how the feature would make your life easier – this will encourage other rex users to vote for your request rather than creating a duplicate idea. The more votes you get the quicker your idea will come to our attention :)

How it works:

  • You can add as many new ideas here as you like but each new idea that you add will cost you one of your votes.
  • You have ten votes to use. You can distribute these however you like with a maximum of 3 on any single item. You can remove a vote if you change your mind and put it elsewhere.
  • If you have voted on an item that is then implemented, you will get those votes back to use again.

  1. Sort VPA items by most commonly used by that supplier - set the inventory up how you want

    In the adverts and packs list where you add the supplier and items , being able to arrange these items in an order you want would be great.

    It would mean when selecting the items in a listing the ones you used the most can be put at the top.

  2. Under Contract Properties Appearing on the Dashboard Stream

    The issue we (and many other offices) face is that we are wasting time promoting listings which are under contract and/or no longer available. This is because we don't receive a status change on our dashboard streams.

    We think having the ability to show under contract listings on the dashboard will be very beneficial. It makes sense to think if a property is under contract, then the status of the listing has changed and is should be updated to reflect this.

    The dashboard already has the option to filter property status changes, but, for some reason 'under contract' does not…

    Hi Heinrich,

    Our developers thought very highly of your suggestion. It hasn’t been approved just yet (as the developers are still brainstorming possible ways that it could be implemented into the system) but we’re hopeful it will become a future Rex feature at some point down the road.

    Thanks again for your great idea, and taking an active interest in the development of Rex.

  3. Dashboard for residential only viewing

    We would like to see only residential information on dashboard for residential sales people and likewise for the rental department. My dashboard is clogged up with all rental listings and information

    The suggestion you posted was a hit with our developers. It hasn’t been approved for development just yet (they’re still brainstorming ways it could be implemented) but we’re all very hopeful it will become a fully-fledged Rex feature in the future. Thanks again for your idea, and for taking an active interest in the development of Rex.

  4. Forwarding Previously Sent Emails

    Once an email has been sent through Rex and is showing in the client stream, it would be great to be able to have an option to forward that original email (with attachments) rather than starting a brand new email if we need to resend that same information to the client.

  5. Ability to differentiate between a Rental Appraisal and Sales Appraisal

    It would be great to have a button the appraisal section which allows us to show whether it's a rental appraisal or a sales appraisal so that if you have two teams working off the same database, one being a rental team and the other a sales team, then you can differentiate between their appraisals.

  6. Create a Reminder when entering a note

    Have a tick box within adding a note section so that if you add a note when talking to someone, you can tick the box to create a reminder to call that person back if need be. Instead of double handling by creating a note then creating a reminder.

    Hi all, we’d love to consider this idea but may need a bit more input:

    • If a reminder was auto-created from a note via a checkbox or similar, what would you want the due date set to be by default?
    • Would you ever want to change any other details of the reminders or need more than just a checkbox (aka would you want to change priority/date)?
  7. Track Dates

    Currently you can set tracks according to:

    a. a start date, and

    b. forward dates.

    Track functionality and usefulness would be significantly advanced it you could:

    a. Specify actions according to key dates associated with the listing record (i.e. listing date, expiry date, contract date, expected unconditional date and expected settlement date), and

    b. dates could be calculated forward and back from a these dates.

    We were able to do this in our previous software and it was great . . .

    It looks like there’s 2 requirement requests going on here:

    1. Triggering addition of tracks based on an event.
    2. Having reminders that are attached to floating dates (e.g. unconditional date, settlement date etc). E.g. 3 days before unconditional.

    Would be good to get some more info on both of these items.

    1. Regarding triggering addition of tracks based on events:

    • Presumably you want support for this in multiple modules. If so, is it all modules or just some?
    • For each module, what are the events that you think should be supported for triggering track addition?
    • Is this an automatic process or is the user prompted to add the track when the event occurs.
    • If the desire is for the track addition it to be automatic, how do we deal with questions like which contact should a track be attached to in a listing or property that includes multiple contacts…
  8. Can we add the 'test merge' feature in the template section again please

    So you don't have to find a contact or property to test the letter/email settings and you can test the letter/email in the same screen so you can see finish product in case you need to edit things...

    This is semi complete with a recent release. You can now preview how content will render to a letter (the system will fully render the PDF with letter head etc. if appropriate).

    Sample merge tag data at this stage is still not supported.

  9. Add functionality for adding an appraisal source

    An extra drop down box for the appraisal source when entering an appraisal so the office can track where the appraisals are coming from.

    Is very handy for offices that pay for marketing and need to be able to track the effectiveness of their campaigns.

  10. Individual Agent Buyer Match Landing Page For New & Existing Contacts

    Give prospects the opportunity to add themselves with an active buyer match to our CRM.

    Each agent/ account holder in our office account can generate a URL code that they can add to newsletter broadcasts, by having the URL we can create QR codes for print marketing and open homes.

    Essentially, whatever way we get prospects to scan or click the link. They end up on our individual URL/ landing page which has my unique indentifier, they can add themselves as a contact first if required. They can then input their own buying requirements into our system ensuring it is…

  11. VENDOR REPORT - Comment section

    I can see that there is a comments box to free write some text which then appears above the photo when you generate the pdf report.
    If you then want to go back to the property, make a change and re-generate the pdf, it doesn't retain the free text from before. That's fine, and you can always copy and paste the text if you remember to.
    Can we instead have somewhere within the property details where you could add some text which would then pull through to the report each time?

    Thank you for the suggestion. We agree that vendor reporting as a system has a few areas of potential improvement. We’re looking to try and revisit our approach to vendor reporting in the near future.

  12. Ability to reverse 'locked' status against contracts

    Allow users with a specific privilege to reverse a 'locked' status against a contract.

    Sometimes mistakes happen! It would be great if we could reverse these if absolutely required.

  13. A report for enquiry source

    A report that indicates the most successful to least successful inquiry source. For example it could allow you to see if domain is providing more enquiries then realestate.com is. This could be show in a pie chart or bar chart also.

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone! We’ll be looking at ways in which we can support this, as we agree that better exposing enquiry sources provides a lot of value. We will keep everyone posted if this feature progresses.

  14. Add youtube video to newsletter

    It would be great if you could add a video to the newsletter much like how Active pipe and others will allow you to.

    Activepipe has an integration directly with our youtube account so you just click add video and all the agency videos are there to choose from.

  15. Share contact/call Info from my phone to Pocket app

    A feature in Pocket that would allow me to share a recent caller (ie: their phone number) who was not previously in my database with Pocket.

    This would then send the new callers phone number to Pocket and it would prompt me to create a new contact.

    Alternatively, a method to add the name and phone number from my phone directly from my phone into Pocket.

  16. Automatic Vendor Reports

    Set up automatic vendor reports to go out weekly/fortnightly (as desired by rep depending on market conditions) - buyer inspection notes, price feedback, home opens completed, marketing completed etc all collates into one report.

    We may need to enter internet hits the morning before they go out (eg. import CSV files from realestate.com, reiwa, domain.

    Enable agent comments - so we can enter a comment the morning before they go out on what has happened in the market since the last report, agency news etc (goes onto all vendor reports not individual)

    Great suggestion Naomi. We’d definitely like to explore the feasibility of implementing something like this, but there’s a fair few things to consider.
