Welcome Rex Users!

Let us know what you really want out of the system you use in your businesses every day!

Please include as much detail as possible about what the feature is and how the feature would make your life easier – this will encourage other rex users to vote for your request rather than creating a duplicate idea. The more votes you get the quicker your idea will come to our attention :)

How it works:

  • You can add as many new ideas here as you like but each new idea that you add will cost you one of your votes.
  • You have ten votes to use. You can distribute these however you like with a maximum of 3 on any single item. You can remove a vote if you change your mind and put it elsewhere.
  • If you have voted on an item that is then implemented, you will get those votes back to use again.

  1. Provide a 'Send Failure' message if Rex generated emails dont reach the recipient

    I have had a few instances of emails not reaching their recipients due to mistakes in an email address (spelling, missing .au, etc) and it would be good to be made aware of these 'failures to deliver' much like Outlook will alert you when a message fails to send.

  2. Select date range "pending settlements" report to appear in date order

    Report to appear in date order which would be easier to read.

  3. Recurring Reminders

    Would be great if you could setup a recurring reminder, either when setting up new Tracks or just adding a reminder to a contact/listing. Eg a reminder to give a potential seller a call on a daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis for a specified number of times, or to end on a certain date. Essentially the same functionality as iCal on Mac.

    At the moment I believe you have to manually enter every reminder individually.

  4. Custom fields against listing

    It would be good to have a custom field against a listing to be able to use in brochures and other areas of Rex.

    For example if you want to section a town off into different areas (within the suburbs), you could have a custom field called 'Custom Location' then in that field you could name the area for the listing. People sometimes have a name for an area of town that is not necessary the suburb. This of course would show up in brochures where you want.

    I have seen someone wanting 'Business Name' to show up in brochures…

  5. Land Size Displayed On Brochures

    Pretty straight forward...having the land size displayed on the brochures so all information is present.

  6. Freeform text box for salutation

    It would be great to have a freeform text box for our clients preferred names (salutations). For example, some of our elderly clients like to be addressed as 'Mr & Mrs Smith', others prefer Steph & Ryan other 'Mr & Mrs R Smith' etc. This way we can use a 'salutation' merge field in letters, emails and newsletters and always have the correct name used for the client.

    Currently, if we only have a surname against the contact but use the incorrect merge field, no information is pulled through (blank info).

    If we could have a field in the contact…

    We’re happy to announce this suggestion has been brought to life by our developers and is now live in the system.

    That’s right, you can now include a middle name, a legal name, a salutation and the addressee to a contact record. Rex will use the right one when sending emails, newsletters, filling out contracts, etc.

    These new fields can be accessed per usual from the contact’s name settings, and when editing existing contacts.

  7. Ability to save advanced filter searches

    There does not appear to be an option to save advanced filter/searches.

    There are a number of advance searches/filters that we do on a regular basis. It is very time consuming to have to re enter all the criteria each time we do the search. If we could do it once manually then save the search it it would be very helpful.

  10. Open Home Banner On Marketing

    Just wondering if there is an option to put Open Home Times on a banner in the Marketing brochures for a letterbox drop prior to the Open.

    Most definitely! You can add this in by creating a custom brochure and using our readily available merge tag.
    Contact our friendly support team should you require any help with this.

  11. Ability to search multiple tags at once even if a listing/contact is only tagged with one of the tags you are searching.

    Currently if you search multiple tags it will return no results even though listings have been tagged with one of the tags you are searching.

  12. Easier searching for contacts and properties.

    For example, if you were looking for Peter Mark Smith, you would not have to search the phrase exactly, if you type Mark Smith the search should return the closest matches based on what you typed... this should be similar to spelling mistakes. Searches should return the closest possble matches.

  13. Emailing original file instead of sharing link

    One of our clients uses an email system that blocks links due to security issues. It would be good if there was an option next to the file that said 'Send Link' or 'Send Original' so that the attachment could actually be attached to the email the traditional way instead of embeded into the email.

    Thanks for voting everyone. We're pleased to announce that there is now a setting that lets you choose to send all email attachments as real files, rather than email links.

  14. Key Register List

    There doesnt seem to be anywhere to generate a key register list? This was available on the old rex.

  15. Exporting reports to Excel

    The ability to export reports to Excel would be great to allow for greater flexibility/and to personalise a report.

  16. only have land size icon appear if it has been used

    rentals rarely use this feature looks unappealing on the stock list when black - would be good if it only appeared on a listing if a figure had been entered in

  17. Stocklists

    The stocklist should be able to be sorted by listing category and then by other filters eg: ascending price etc.

  18. Marketing Overide - Street and Suburb Display Option

    In the marketing overide there are only options to display full address or suburb only. This feature is great...but it would be better if we could select Street and Suburb as an option.

  19. Under Contract Status

    It would be much better to have the portal feeds update with the "under contract" status when the property goes unconditional rather than when adding the contracts. Its fine to show it in our side of the rex but some contracts fall over and the enquiry stops as soon as they see it goes under contract. If people can only see that it is under contract when it goes unconditonal that would be much better!

  20. Dashboard Stream - Accidental Listings

    If a duplicate listing was accidently created. Do not show the 'Withdrawn' listing in the stream as it looks like the original listing was withdrawn.
