Welcome Rex Users!
Let us know what you really want out of the system you use in your businesses every day!
Please include as much detail as possible about what the feature is and how the feature would make your life easier – this will encourage other rex users to vote for your request rather than creating a duplicate idea. The more votes you get the quicker your idea will come to our attention :)
How it works:
- You can add as many new ideas here as you like but each new idea that you add will cost you one of your votes.
- You have ten votes to use. You can distribute these however you like with a maximum of 3 on any single item. You can remove a vote if you change your mind and put it elsewhere.
- If you have voted on an item that is then implemented, you will get those votes back to use again.
Remember – no request is too small :)

Feeback type
We use Rex for both Sale and Rental properties.
When adding Feedback under a property the only option under the Feedback Type drop down box for an inspection is 'Buyer Inspection'.
Can you please add 'Tenant Inspection'?

Building name to be added to stocklists
There should be an option to be able to show the building name on stocklists.

First off, we’ve added space beside each listing for information on an auction, set-sale or tender venue and time, when applicable. You also have the option to include OFI times, to boot.
There’s the opportunity to include a building or business name, too.

Financial Fields for creating settlement statement
We would like the ability to be able to insert;
- Total amount owing in invoices
- Calculated balance of Deposit less commission
To provide an accurate settlement statement to clients within seconds.

Creating a property and marking it as an OAB and automatically showing up on nearby (say 500m or by postcode) property entries you have.
When you enter an OAB at the moment it only shows up on the property you entered it in to. Sometimes the property that is listed is already in your database. If you see a property has gone on the market you should be able to create a new property if needed (or edit an existing one) and mark it as a OAB. Then that would integrate with other listings (via postcode or distance on google map) an add to the OAB tab automtically for all properties in the area. You can also set reminders to follow up after 2-3…

Good news: we’ve recently added extra merge tags to accommodate this!
Look for the “Listing (Related Contacts” merge category when inserting listing merge tags.

Feedback to Vendors post OFI's:
Hi REX,
It is difficult to add feedback to the vendor reports when making post OFI callbacks.
When we make calls to buyers who have been through our Open Inspections they give valuable feedback that the vendors should be able to view....
When we make calls to buyers who appear in the property feedback section we can add a note to the 'buyers profile' however this note doesn't appear as feedback when we generate a vendor report...
Suggestion: Add a feedback box similar to the note box that appears in the speech bubble when you click on a buyer who…

As mentioned previously in the comments below the initial suggestion is actually available and has been for a few months – when you click on a contact, the popout includes a feedback option (letting you add feedback for a contact without leaving whatever screen you’re on).
You can also add feedback by clicking the main plus button (next to the search bar at the top of the screen) and selecting feedback.
We’ve had another suggestion submitted to us, which we think might interest you and solve the issues you have mentioned below.
Because the initial suggestion has been solved we are going to complete this suggestion, however please feel free to vote and comment on this new suggestion via the link below if you think this might help you further.

Duplicate a page when creating brochures etc
When creating a brochure it would be helpful to have the ability to duplicate a page within that brochure so time is not wasted having to place items that will need to appear again in the exact same places.

Freeform text box for salutation
It would be great to have a freeform text box for our clients preferred names (salutations). For example, some of our elderly clients like to be addressed as 'Mr & Mrs Smith', others prefer Steph & Ryan other 'Mr & Mrs R Smith' etc. This way we can use a 'salutation' merge field in letters, emails and newsletters and always have the correct name used for the client.
Currently, if we only have a surname against the contact but use the incorrect merge field, no information is pulled through (blank info).

That’s right, you can now include a middle name, a legal name, a salutation and the addressee to a contact record. Rex will use the right one when sending emails, newsletters, filling out contracts, etc.
These new fields can be accessed per usual from the contact’s name settings, and when editing existing contacts.

Custom fields for external URL's
In custom fields please include a field that allows a link to en external URL (e.g. to council information about the property)

Recurring Reminders
Would be great if you could setup a recurring reminder, either when setting up new Tracks or just adding a reminder to a contact/listing. Eg a reminder to give a potential seller a call on a daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis for a specified number of times, or to end on a certain date. Essentially the same functionality as iCal on Mac.
At the moment I believe you have to manually enter every reminder individually.

Auction details on brochure
The auction date and time doesn't appear on the brochure. Can you please look into making this appear instead of the price.

This is something you can already do in Rex by creating your own templates and adding in a merge tag which will grab that info.
Don’t worry if you do not want to create a whole new template, you can just duplicate ours, then modify.

Tick box for address the same as Postal address
It would save time if there was a box to tick when the contact's address is the same as their Postal address. Saves writing it out twice or copying and pasting. Thanks

When filling out the Contact Record, if there is no Postal Address entered it assumes that the Home Address is the Postal Address.
You don’t need to add in the Postal address unless it is different from the Home Address. -
Interest level list
It would be great if we could access the list of people that have been to a property and change the interest level, so when you are doing vendor reports you can check and change the interest levels before doing the report etc.

Provide a 'Send Failure' message if Rex generated emails dont reach the recipient
I have had a few instances of emails not reaching their recipients due to mistakes in an email address (spelling, missing .au, etc) and it would be good to be made aware of these 'failures to deliver' much like Outlook will alert you when a message fails to send.

Attach Vendor Statements to Documents Tab
In Victoria we supply interested buyers with the Vendor Statement or Section 32. It would make our agents life easier if this could be done directly from REX. Unfortunately, the document tab can only upload documents of a certain size limit. Vendor Statements can be quite large and the facility just doesn't allow for this. At a quick glance it would also advise all agents that the Vendor Statement is now available. This is not a request, in Victoria this is a legal requirement and should be a feature on REX.

Print reminders list from within rex
Reminders format horribly when printing from browser. Would be much easier if client name, number and description reminder would be printed in a list format for when agent is on the road and calling clients.

This is something you can do in Rex as I believe you have now found out.
You can do this from the Dashboard, in Reminders, just click on ‘Pocket Agenda’ at the top of the screen.
You can then choose which reminders you wish to print.
