Let us know what you really want out of the system you use in your businesses every day!
Please include as much detail as possible about what the feature is and how the feature would make your life easier – this will encourage other rex users to vote for your request rather than creating a duplicate idea. The more votes you get the quicker your idea will come to our attention :)
How it works:
- You can add as many new ideas here as you like but each new idea that you add will cost you one of your votes.
- You have ten votes to use. You can distribute these however you like with a maximum of 3 on any single item. You can remove a vote if you change your mind and put it elsewhere.
- If you have voted on an item that is then implemented, you will get those votes back to use again.
Remember – no request is too small :)

All Emails to go thru REX
Ability to use REX for all incoming and outgoing EMAILS. This would enable the company to force staff to have rex open instead of outlook. Also enable company to manage incoming and outgoing email communication thru the CRM.
1 voteHi andy, while we love seeing agencies use rex in new and exciting ways, we’re definitely not an email client and would recommend you use tools that have been specially developed for the job!! There are a lot of tasks and small interactions you have with your email client that make it friendly that you may not notice on a day to day basis.
In terms of ensuring agents are using the product – it’s best to mandate this via written policies within your office if it’s something you want to encourage.

Be able to email someone without adding them as a contact.
Some people I don't want in as contacts. Stop trying to force workflow as it sucks.

Rex is a CRM which should be used to track all correspondence, because of this, your suggestion is not something we’re looking to implement into Rex.
If you would like to send untracked emails, you can send them directly from your work email. -

Dates on advertising invoices
When you print the advertising invoice it does not have dates in which each individual advertising cost was booked.
I don't understand why it asks you to put in a booking date to not even include it on the advertising invoice.
Can you please add in the ability to do this. It's so confusing for our vendors and we keep getting constant questions about when certain advertising e.g. newspaper was booked. If it just had the booking date on the invoice IT WOULD BE SO MUCH EASIER.
1 voteIf you would like to notify your vendors of booking dates, we suggest sending them the marketing schedule. The marketing schedule can be generated from the VPA tab on a listing.
Adding the booking dates to invoices is not something we are looking to implement. -
Adding OFI to the Feedback type in the individual client (currently is Offer, Buyer Inspection and Enquiry)
Instead of going into the property and adding the individual in can it be done by the going into the client and then adding it as an OFI.

View more than 100 contacts at a time in list view
Need the ability to view more than 100 contacts at a time in the list view of Rex. 1000 contacts will be much more helpful.

Unfortunately, the sub-categories are pre-defined by the portals, this means we’re unable to customise these for you.
We suggest that you get in touch with the portals directly to discuss options for custom feeds.

Excklusive listings
I would like to be able to add an "exclusive" banner to the main photo of a listing. This would also feed through to the portals we load to.

Thanks for your suggestion, whilst this is not something we are looking to implement via Rex, we can suggest that you add the overlay prior to uploading the photo to Rex. You can do this using a photoshopping tool, or by asking your photographer to add it for you. -
Notify Agent when an auto email has been sent to a buyer/contact in the stream
In the old rex, you would receive a notification in your stream of which contacts had received an auto email. Can this be reinstated so that agents know who to make a follow up call to?

Thank you for the suggestion. The nature of emails means they are sent instantly with no option to recall. Other services like Gmail or Outlook provide an optional grace period before sending an email where you have the ability to recall an email. This is too technically complex for us consider at the current point in time.

Have a dropbox intergration

Dashboard "HOT OFFER" tag on new listings that are under a special price / offer
When uploading a new listing onto the dashboard, it usually comes up as "new" on it, instead we could have a choice of "new" or "hot offer" or "special price" etc...

E cards
It would be great to have a list of seasonal template e cards that would merge with our logo that we could bulk email to our customers. eg e-christmas cards anza days easter, halloween mothers day, fathers day
0 votesYou could either create a mailing list for this and send the mailing list a newsletter from Re. Alternatively you could export your data and have a third party create something to send for you.

Number of bathrooms
It would be ideal to have 2.5 or 1.5 (half option) for bedrooms and bathrooms as big homes have powder rooms etc.

Unfortunately this isn’t something that’s supported by any of the portals – they all expect whole numbered bath rooms. If powder rooms and similar unsupported features are important for you from an internal marketing standpoint (or for your own website), you might want to add these as custom features via the Admin > Custom Values and Mailing Lists > Property Features section.

Adding features to a property one at a time is time consuming!
Could you introduce the facility of having check boxes in the property features list so that that multiple features could be added at once rather than having to repeatedly scroll through the list to add each feature one at a time.

We’ve got a method to make this a little quicker for you. Say you wanted to add ‘Pool’, normally you’d have to scroll towards the bottom to add it. Try typing in ‘Pool’ and it will narrow down the options to choose from. This will save you time scrolling through the options to choose from.

More Land subcategories like Industrial and Commercial
Currently the only option is 'Residential Land' under subcategories, can this be changed to include Industrial and Commercial land options,

We are unfortunately unable to create custom listing types or sub-categories because they are pre determined by the portals (REA, Domain etc).I suggest maybe contacting the portals directly to discuss additional options with them.

Listing validation error links
When a validation error is displayed on the right hand side of a listing just about to go online, it would be a good when the error is displayed to hyperlink to the part in the listing that needs updating instead of just showing the error.

Thanks for the suggestion.
This would be great to show, but unfortunately we aren’t provided with a lot of info on what the issue is from the portals. Also when the Portal accepts the listing, then declines – so it shows okay in Rex – all the portals send different emails with different reasons as to why it did not go through.
This is something that we would love improve on in the future, but at this stage it isn’t something we can do based on the information we are provided by the portals.

Have the option to show property as Under Contract or not when it is accepted
Currently the accepted status shows the property as Under COntract on websites - The option is very much needed to display Under Contract or not to display. It is very detrimental to sellers if the contract is conditional
