Let us know what you really want out of the system you use in your businesses every day!

Please include as much detail as possible about what the feature is and how the feature would make your life easier – this will encourage other rex users to vote for your request rather than creating a duplicate idea. The more votes you get the quicker your idea will come to our attention :)

How it works:

  • You can add as many new ideas here as you like but each new idea that you add will cost you one of your votes.
  • You have ten votes to use. You can distribute these however you like with a maximum of 3 on any single item. You can remove a vote if you change your mind and put it elsewhere.
  • If you have voted on an item that is then implemented, you will get those votes back to use again.

  1. Open Homes: Change default time of open home to 30 mins

    Rex, can you please add the ability to change the default length of open home times. Currently the default length is set to 1 hour (60mins), but our office, and many other offices use 30 minutes as the default open home length. So i propose having the ability to choose between default length of 30mins or 60mins depending on each office's requirements.

    This would help save us a lot of time when we are doing 30+ open homes a week.

  2. Vendor Report

    When previously doing the vendor reports we entered the feedback from the OFI's on individual contacts, but it took too long. I then contacted you about this, and you recommended this procedure: http://www.rexsoftware.com/feature-release-separate-feedback-for-ofi-attendees/

    This was great however the feedback doesn't come out as nice as doing it individually. See the latest open home feedback on the attached report.

    Is there anything we can do to get the feedback looking like earlier entries in the attached report?

    Hi James,
    Thanks for your suggestion. The developers took note and added some padding to the vendor reports. You’ll notice that theres now a line break between each item of feedback from an open home.

  3. Scrolling through records to get to the end - 'End Button' required instead of page forward many times

    When scrolling & searching through records, there is no 'End' button to go to the end of all records, instead you have to click through all the pages to get to the end.

    If you have 10,000 contacts and you want to scroll to the end, you don't want to be clicking the forward button 500 times to get to there.

    Same as when using and creating new Tracks and Letters in Admin. All duplicated letters go directly to the end, so to locate them again you have to scroll through many pages to get there.

    Hey Everyone,

    This functionality already exists in Rex. Looks like great minds really do think alike!

    You can change the number of records viewed and ‘jump to’ a specific page number from the list view.

    Feel free to contact support at support@rexsoftware.com if you require further help with this. They’ll help you start putting it to use.

  4. Listing Disclaimer Text

    We need the ability to append standard disclaimer text to all listings uploaded to the portals.

    Perhaps this could be added to Agency Settings & Branding in the Admin menu?

  5. VPA Budget Invoice

    Currently, if you want your Vendor to be able to pay a deposit for the VPA, you need to provide them with an invoice. You then deposit the money paid into Trust - but there's no way to find which listing has had the VPA deposit paid. This causes an issue if I can't find the who has paid and who hasn't. The only way I can do this is if I mark the invoice as paid, which is incorrect - I'm still holding the money. It would be great if the VPA schedule had a total at the bottom…

  6. Creating ABA files

    It would be great to have to ability to create ABA files for payments so they can be automatically loaded to the bank. By entering clients BSB and account details in the contact tab the system then creates a batch which can be loaded to the bank and the fields where you enter the account name, BSB and Acct# can also be available as merge fields

  7. Leased or Rented brochures

    Can we have a brochure that has LEASED or RENTED on it for property management just as there is one with SOLD? Would be useful for our window cards.

  8. We need the ability to be able to search contacts via the contract agent

    With this ability we can search past purchasers specific to that agent - makes christmas card lists and archive client lists a lots easier to compile

    Hi Everyone,
    We’re happy to announce this suggestion has been brought to life by our developers and is now live in the system.
    1. Go to system lists > contracts
    2. Find all contracts for a specific selling agent (or listing agent)
    3. Select all, go to related (contacts – include purchasers / tenants only)

  9. Events - Reoccurring OFIs

    It would be very convenient to post reoccurring OFI times to a listing.
    For example, a Sales Office in a new estate - the sales office is open every Saturday and Sunday at the same time every week. It is a very manual process at the moment having to add each event one at a time.

  10. Mass Creation of Brochures

    Currently, you have to go to each listing to print a brochure. It would make life a lot easier if we could select specific listings, then select 'Merge/Print Brochures'. We could then print multiple listing brochures rather than having to go into each individual listing.

  11. Ability to mark Match Profiles as inactive

    Instead of deleting match profiles (so they don't show up in reverse matches) it would be great to have the ability to mark Match Profiles as inactive. This way we'll have a full history and record for that contact but they won't show up on reverse matches.

    We introduced the ability in early 2022 for you to archive match profiles, so you can retain a full history with a contact. You will also shortly be able to set a rule to auto archive match profiles after a set period of time!

  12. Make the New Listing emails customisable

    We would love to be able to customise the current New Listing email template that automatically goes out to contacts with a match profile.

    We want to be able to make the style more in line with our company branding and appearance.

    It would also be good to be able to have the option to redirect the recipient directly to the listing on our company website when they click the 'see more' link, rather than it generating an e-brochure.

    Hi Harriet,

    Customising the appearance of the new listing emails is already possible (via admin > advanced html templates > match emails) though you’ll need some help from our developers or an external party that knows some things about html to do this. If you get in touch with the support team they’ll be able to help you out with some more info.

    The “See more” link can also be configured to go to your website already however you will need to be running a compatible site (requirements are fairly minimal). Again, please get in touch with the support team for more info!

  13. Notify listing agent when feedback or any update added to property

    It would be good for the agent handling a property to receive a notification if feedback is added to that property by someone else.

  14. Add filter to check if match profile exists

    Can you please add another criteria in the advanced contacts filter for Match Profiles.

    It would be good to filter by whether a Match Profile exists on a contact record, as currently you can't run a filter that gives you a list of contact records without Match Profiles.

    Eg:
    Match Profile - is - yes
    Match Profile - is - no

    Or something similar.

    This feature is now up and running in Rex!
    You can now use the filter ‘Record Meta – Has Active Match Profile’ under advanced filters.

  15. Mailing Lists

    At the moment if there are two email addresses against the one contact, only the 'primary' contact will receive the newsletter. Can we have this amended so we have the option for both people to receive it.

  16. Buyer Match - Show which properties are under contract

    When you setup a new buyer match and save it. Then click the match button that shows what stock you currently have so you can email it out. It doesn't show you which properties in that list are under contract at the time. It would be great to have a under offer banner across the photo.

  17. VENDOR REPORT - Have a start date option

    Have a start date button when generating vendor reports. Time-consuming to have to check where the last report ran to every time we do them.

    It will save the vendor from keeping multiple reports and quicker for the agents.

    The vendor report now automatically fills in the listing date as the start date, as well as filling the end date to be today's date! We hope this small optimisations makes your experience more delightful :) Thank you for the valuable feedback

  18. Sales Person Ledger

    A Sales Persons Ledger - one were we can keep track of commissions payable to them at settlement and payments made to them. Similar to the VPA Ledger? Previously when I settled properties in E2 a sales persons commission would automatically be applied to their ledger then I could record when they had been paid for these and other expenses related to them could be applied

  19. Option to not include OFI Attendees surnames

    When generating a vendor report should have an tick box option to choose to leave surnames off OFI attendees - for privacy reasons.

  20. dialling from a mobile out of rex

    When in rex on an iphone it would be handy to be able to have the phone recognise the Rex contact's phone number as a phone number and be able to dial directly from there, as opposed to having to copy and paste the number from rex.
