Welcome Rex Users!

Let us know what you really want out of the system you use in your businesses every day!

Please include as much detail as possible about what the feature is and how the feature would make your life easier – this will encourage other rex users to vote for your request rather than creating a duplicate idea. The more votes you get the quicker your idea will come to our attention :)

How it works:

  • You can add as many new ideas here as you like but each new idea that you add will cost you one of your votes.
  • You have ten votes to use. You can distribute these however you like with a maximum of 3 on any single item. You can remove a vote if you change your mind and put it elsewhere.
  • If you have voted on an item that is then implemented, you will get those votes back to use again.

  1. Ability to adjust/enter receipt number

    Would like the ability to adjust the 'next receipt number' in rex to enable us to add the receipt number that we use for the same transaction in our manual receipt book.

    As we have already issued receipt numbers to customers, we should be issuing chronological receipts following on from our previous system/process.

  2. Reinstate the cursor in search box so you know that you in that area to start typing

    With the change of the search box the cursor doesn't show up in there anymore. Can this be put back in so that you know you are in the search field.

  3. Legal name to autofill on contract

    It'd be great to have the legal name from a contact record autopopulate on a contract, when created.

    If the Listing Owner and Purchaser are already selected on the listing, have it so the fields in the contract can autofill from the legal titles (or even just their names).

    Having the solicitor as a related contact on a listing, as well, would allow their details to be selectable/autofilled.

    This would save a lot of time when creating a contract.

  4. iPad Compatible Pocket Rex

    We use iPads at our opens and try not to use mobile as it can come across as rude to potential purchasers making it look like your messaging someone rather than engaging in the conversation whilst taking notes. As it is iPhone and Android compatible only there are several glitches when entering open inspection feedback such as not being able to minimise the keyboard. It would be great to implement an iPad version of pocket rex to fix these issues

  6. Change pocket Open section so it's more like HomePass

    Hi guys,
    we have been using HomePass to register buyers at Open Inspections and were excited to try using Pocket. Luckily I tested it before going to an open with it, because it's a little clunky.
    We generally don't ask for a full name at an open, but even if we did, searching by name isn't fool proof. So then I tried typing in the mobile number in the name field which was good for picking up a duplicate, but then if it's a new contact and I hit add contact, Pocket pre-populates the name field with the mobile number…

  7. Group SMS from app

    After registering attendees at an open home on the Pocket by Rex app, it would be great at the end of the open home to then have an option to send a group text to all the attendees (still using a template).Rather than having to do it individulaly, or waiting to get back to the office to do a mass SMS on the full website.

    Thanks for the suggestion! This feature is now available in Pocket. You can access it in an Open Home, tap the “•••” menu, selecting Bulk Message and then selecting SMS.

  8. Search for Tags

    It would be really handy if from DASHBOARD, using the "Search for contacts, properties, etc." field, to be able to search for CONTACTS with a specific TAG.

    Currently, the only way to search for contacts with a specific tag, is to do it via CONTACTS tab, 'Filter Contacts'/'Tags'.

    Here's how this would be useful...

    We tag every buyer who comes to an Open Home with a tag like this: '18 Kitchener Road - OFI Attendee'.

    When doing phone backs, or merge email or txt to contacts who have attended an Open Home of a specific property, we search via CONTACTS…

  9. Contact ownership on Pocket

    On REX Pocket you cannot see who owns the contact, can there be a field that shows who is the owner of that contact please.

    This feature is already available.

    If you own the contact an extra icon appears overlaid on top of the contact record in lists, search results etc.

    When viewing a contact record you can check on the permissions and record ownership by clicking on the little person icon in the top right hand corner of the record.

  10. Incoming call

    It would be great if pocket recognised the incoming call number and iPhone gave a possible description of who it might be rather that just the number. Also, pocket could then register the incoming call and count it on Rex and drop a note to say that the client had called

  12. Document adding

    I Cant add a document on my iPad and the iPhone Pocket app keeps crashing when attempting to add one

  13. Import custom templates for Automatic Updates

    We would like to import custom templates for Automatic Updates. Currently our email clients receive updates with a header graphic that is not acceptable for our brands visual image. We invest a lot of marketing dollars into ensuring every element of branding that is seen and sent to our clients is spot on with corporate colours and logos. This automated email template is not flexible and not on brand. We would like to be able to upload our own graphic template please.

    This is possible though may attract a cost (unless your designers / developers are able to adjust the formats to be compatible with Rex). Please contact our support team via for more information via the help bar in Rex.

  14. Two Newletter Templates

    Our agency would love to have two newsletter templates, we run a Holiday Rental business out of our real estate office that has different branding.
    We add all our past guests into REX so we can send them our Real Estate Newsletter but we would also like to send a Getaway newsletter which has specials & booking information,
    Would love to be able to have two templates with different branding so that the past guests don't get confused.

  15. Rex Pocket

    Make a short cut to ofi's so I don't have to use home pass. It takes too many different pages to set up an open before you can even put in the clients name.

  16. Reverse match on pocket

    Have function on app (pocket) to reverse match listings and appraisals to buyers . Very surprised it's not already there, major oversight ?

  17. Contact Duplicate Report

    Need a report that lists the contacts that have the same phone number/ email address/ name etc. so we can clean our database.

  18. Video to automatically upload to trademe Please!.

    Rex is fantastic. e.g automatically uploads any video link to Realestate.co,nz or our own Mike Pero page. Sadly REX does not automatically upload to Trademe. Agent has to request a manual upload via our Head office which not a great use of everyones time and worse can be forgotten. Help please!

  19. Projects Stock Mode - Sort Columns Alphabetically

    The ability to sort the columns in Stock Mode for Projects is necessary.

    Instead of having the stages arranged by ID, it'd be good to be able to arrange them alphabetically/numerically by the second column (name).

  20. Can you please add 'DEADLINE SALE' in the drop-down menu as another Price > Advertise As. In NZ Deadline Sale's are now very popular.

    In NZ we sell a lot of properties using the 'Deadline Sale' marketing. The closest method currently available in REX is 'Set Sale' but we've already had purchasers ask us what is a 'Set Sale' as they're all used to seeing Deadline Sale. This would be great to have as another sale method option. Thank you.

    Hi Elman,

    Using the ‘Set Sale’ option in Rex will actually go through to Realestate.co.nz as Deadline Treaty and to Trademe as Deadline Private Treaty.

    These options are defined by both sites and they won’t actually accept ‘DeadLine Sale’.
