Welcome Rex Users!

Let us know what you really want out of the system you use in your businesses every day!

Please include as much detail as possible about what the feature is and how the feature would make your life easier – this will encourage other rex users to vote for your request rather than creating a duplicate idea. The more votes you get the quicker your idea will come to our attention :)

How it works:

  • You can add as many new ideas here as you like but each new idea that you add will cost you one of your votes.
  • You have ten votes to use. You can distribute these however you like with a maximum of 3 on any single item. You can remove a vote if you change your mind and put it elsewhere.
  • If you have voted on an item that is then implemented, you will get those votes back to use again.

  1. Two Newletter Templates

    Our agency would love to have two newsletter templates, we run a Holiday Rental business out of our real estate office that has different branding.
    We add all our past guests into REX so we can send them our Real Estate Newsletter but we would also like to send a Getaway newsletter which has specials & booking information,
    Would love to be able to have two templates with different branding so that the past guests don't get confused.

  2. Schedule Newsletters

    Being able to schedule newsletters to send automatically on a specific day/time would mean easier management of bulk EDMs.

  3. ofi times need to automatically fill

    Currently you put in your ofi times to go to internet portals. Why is it that you then need to add your ofi time doing ofi feedback. This should automatically fill when opened.

  4. Rex Pocket

    Make a short cut to ofi's so I don't have to use home pass. It takes too many different pages to set up an open before you can even put in the clients name.

  5. Reverse match on pocket

    Have function on app (pocket) to reverse match listings and appraisals to buyers . Very surprised it's not already there, major oversight ?

  6. Related Contacts

    When adding related contacts to a property record, it would be nice to have a flexible option (at present only owner, past owner, tenant or past tenant are available). I do a lot of business to business networking and would like to add say an architect or consultant that has worked on a particular property. You can add a custom field when you add a related contact to an existing contact record, so it would be good to have this available on the property record.

  7. Video to automatically upload to trademe Please!.

    Rex is fantastic. e.g automatically uploads any video link to Realestate.co,nz or our own Mike Pero page. Sadly REX does not automatically upload to Trademe. Agent has to request a manual upload via our Head office which not a great use of everyones time and worse can be forgotten. Help please!

    Need a report that lists the contacts that have the same phone number/ email address/ name etc. so we can clean our database.

  9. Commercial Sale & Lease Listing tab

    We need a feature that adds both listings for sale & Lease as one. Instead of adding the listing twice. It takes to much work adding all the listing data twice.

    Hi there Doukas,

    What we would recommend doing is to create the first listing, then duplicate it. This way it copies all the details of the listing and you don’t need to fill it out again.

  10. Can you please add 'DEADLINE SALE' in the drop-down menu as another Price > Advertise As. In NZ Deadline Sale's are now very popular.

    In NZ we sell a lot of properties using the 'Deadline Sale' marketing. The closest method currently available in REX is 'Set Sale' but we've already had purchasers ask us what is a 'Set Sale' as they're all used to seeing Deadline Sale. This would be great to have as another sale method option. Thank you.

    Hi Elman,

    Using the ‘Set Sale’ option in Rex will actually go through to Realestate.co.nz as Deadline Treaty and to Trademe as Deadline Private Treaty.

    These options are defined by both sites and they won’t actually accept ‘DeadLine Sale’.

  12. A name field to identify each phone number listed under a contact

    Need a name field next to phone number section to identify who owns which phone number when there is more than one name in the contact ID e.g when a whole family is listed in the contact, husband/wife etc

    The “type” field is actually a freeform field designed to double as a way for you to label the phone numbers with a particular contact’s name beyond just labeling them as “Mobile / Home” etc. – When the dropdown appears, simply type anything you want to store a custom value.

  13. One page to show alll OFI's - saving time going into individual properties.

    When updating times for your OFI's is so such a time saver to have all your properties and times on one page. Mydesk Top has this facility and is easy to check and verify that all your open times are correct. Also should have day as well as date. Then you can easily see that the dates are correct as you see specific dat ie Wed, Sat etc.

  14. Print detailed stocklist of current listings

    Print a detailed stocklist with detailed property information (asking price, beds/bath/car, land size etc) for ease of access when out of the office. If you have say more than 8 listings on the go and a team of agents working under you, it is imperative to have all of this information on hand at all times instead of having to have access to a computer/internet to pull up one file at a time.

  15. Attachments on email merges to appear at top of email

    At the moment, attachments on email merges appear at the very bottom of the email and are not easy to see (we've had numerous clients respond asking where the attachment is). This needs to be made more obvious or should appear under the subject line as per regular emails.

    Thanks for voting everyone. We're pleased to announce that there is now a setting that lets you choose to send all email attachments as real files, rather than email links.

    Some examples of useful searches are
    - performing finds on all data with or without current reminder or track.
    - Properties with or without an attached owner
    - Contacts categorized to group like with like
    - Contacts or properties with or without Tags

  19. Projects Stock Mode - Sort Columns Alphabetically

    The ability to sort the columns in Stock Mode for Projects is necessary.

    Instead of having the stages arranged by ID, it'd be good to be able to arrange them alphabetically/numerically by the second column (name).

  20. Task assignee should be based on job role, not person specific

    When creating or editing a Track we should have the option to make the assignee of a Track a job role, eg. Sales Admin, Reception etc. So when a staff member leaves the Track is still associated with their role and not their name.
